Hankyu Hanshin has slotted a new ¥8,800 fit-diagnosis-and-styling service between its existing menus, a small but concrete sign of how Japan's department stores are trying to turn floor expertise into a paid service line of its own.
Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores added a new ¥8,800 "fit diagnosis plus styling" service to its Fashion Consulting Service menu on October 1, according to a release dated October 15, bringing the paid personal-styling offer at its two Umeda flagships to three tiers.
