United Arrows opens a third Bangkok store, its first combined men's-and-women's format there

The Japanese select shop widens its Bangkok footprint beyond a single-gender format, folding five of its house labels into one 146-square-metre Siam Paragon store.

United Arrows opened its third Bangkok store on 1 July, inside Siam Paragon on Rama I Road, marking the retailer's first Bangkok location to combine men's and women's ranges under one roof.

According to the company, the roughly 146-square-metre (44.2-tsubo) store carries United Arrows' men's and women's mainline, plus its BEAUTY&YOUTH and H BEAUTY&YOUTH diffusion lines, the United Arrows Sons label, and the ROKU brand — a wider assortment than either of the retailer's two earlier Bangkok stores, one built around casual BEAUTY&YOUTH merchandising and the other around men's dress collections. United Arrows said the interior uses natural materials in a minimalist design, and it plans an opening event in August featuring a collaborative rum with Bootlegger.

Folding five house labels and both genders into a single Siam Paragon door is United Arrows testing whether Bangkok's luxury-mall shopper wants the full range it sells at home, not the edited, single-audience version it opened with. If the combined format holds up, it becomes the template United Arrows carries into its next Southeast Asian openings rather than a one-off for this address.
