Takashimaya's Yokohama store runs the 67th edition of its Grand Hokkaido Fair over two one-week stretches in October, with about 100 vendors and a fifth of them new to the store — a reminder of how much a department store's event floor still leans on a decades-old regional food fair to pull footfall through a quiet autumn stretch.
Takashimaya said its Yokohama store will run the 67th edition of its "Dai-Hokkaido-ten" (Grand Hokkaido Fair) from October 14 to 27, split into two one-week runs in the eighth-floor exhibition hall, with roughly 100 vendors trading across the fortnight and about 20 brands making their first appearance at the store.
