Osaka's Patina wins best new hotel as four Japan properties reach the world's top 50
Patina Osaka's Best New Hotel award, alongside placements for Aman Tokyo, Bulgari Tokyo and Park Hyatt Kyoto, gives Japan four entries on one of hospitality's most closely watched global rankings, just as its three luxury capitals compete to add ultra-luxury rooms.
Patina Osaka has won the Best New Hotel award at The 50 Best Hotels 2026 — formerly known as the World's 50 Best Hotels — and ranked 33rd overall in the year's list, according to a statement from its operator, NTT Urban Development Hotel Management. It is one of four Japan properties to land in the closely watched global top 50.
