Shinsaibashi PARCO ends a 2,000-tsubo renewal on 217 square metres
Parco is closing the nine-month, roughly 2,000-tsubo rebuild of its Shinsaibashi store with three shops covering about 217 square metres — the smallest of five waves, carrying its biggest names. The leasing was finished in August; what was held back for last was the publicity.
Parco will close a renewal of its Shinsaibashi store that has run since February when two more shops open on 2 October, the company said in a release dated 17 September. The fifth and last wave comes to three shops and about 217 square metres, set against a programme Parco puts at roughly 50 units and about 2,000 tsubo — some 6,600 square metres. The finale is therefore around three per cent of the floor the building has spent nine months reworking, and it carries the three names most likely to be written about: the first permanent shop from the graphic artist VERDY, Sega's first flagship for the Kansai region, and Studio Nicholson's first Osaka store.
