JR East turns five Shinagawa-area stations into a six-month treasure hunt
A guidebook-driven mystery trail through Hamamatsucho, Tamachi, Takanawa Gateway, Shinagawa and Oimachi runs to next March — a low-cost way for Japan's biggest station-area landlord to keep feet moving through the corridor it is rebuilding around Takanawa Gateway.
East Japan Railway Company (JR East) has launched a six-month treasure hunt spanning five stations in what it calls the "Greater Shinagawa Area" (広域品川圏), running from 30 September 2026 to 22 March 2027, according to a company release.
