John Masters Organics renews its Yurakucho Marui store with a design by Teruhiro Yanagihara

John Masters Organics reopens its Yurakucho Marui store on October 23 with an upcycled-wood interior by designer Teruhiro Yanagihara and a new counselling counter, weeks after giving the brand's Hankyu Umeda door a head start on its latest nationwide launch.

John Masters Organics Group said its Yurakucho Marui store will reopen on October 23, 2026, with an interior designed by Teruhiro Yanagihara of Teruhiro Yanagihara Studio, built from natural stone and upcycled wood salvaged from waste materials, according to a company release.

The renewed store adds a counselling counter, which the company frames as strengthening hands-on, consultative service, plus new displays organised around gift-giving occasions. Through the relaunch, purchases of ¥22,000 or more that include the brand's PRO Botanical Concentrate come with a bath towel, and purchases of ¥11,000 or more come with a mini comb, while supplies last, the release said.

The renovation lands weeks after floortok reported that John Masters gave its Hankyu Umeda counter a week's head start ahead of a nationwide product launch -- together, the two moves suggest a brand investing in how its existing floors look and perform rather than in opening new ones, a cheaper way for a mid-tier beauty retailer to lift average spend per visit.
